A collective

Ximena Alarcón offers monthly Suelo Fértil workshops in London, using Deep Listening, for migrant women who would like to creatively explore their own migratory process and cultivate Suelo Fértil [Fertile Soil].

As a result of this process, Suelo Fértil is also a collective using Telematic Sonic Performance as an artistic platform for improvised conversations between migrant women. Through sounds-words-silences, the virtual space helps each one to cultivate a dialogue that nourishes a fertile soil to inhabit migratory contexts. Practicing Deep Listening we listen to our voices, dreams, memories, bodies and the outer environment. In this manner we recognise the vast territories that we inhabit and how these connect with our inner self, transcending identities and the sense of belonging to a specific ‘place’.
