This workshop invites migrant women in London to listen deeply to their migratory experience. Following Deep Listening® practice, developed by the composer Pauline Oliveros, participants will experience monthly sonic meditations, energy body exercises – Chi Kung, and dreamwork. These exercises will help to reflect on the experience of space and time lived in their native countries and in the United Kingdom or other foreign countries where they had lived. This work opens a quiet and intimate space that helps to reflect on your migratory experience and to nourish a unique fertile soil for each person.
The process is facilitated by Ximena Alarcón, artist and academic researcher who is certified tutor of Deep Listening, and Elemental Chi Kung. Ximena has taught this practice at CRiSAP- London College of Communication, Coventry University, Scotland Sculpture Workshop, ArtsAdmin, Lancaster Arts, and in international spaces in Mexico, Brazil, Spain, India and Colombia.
